Based: Home/Office – minimum three days in Dublin office.

Full time in a permanent position

Role Specification

The role is home based with an expectancy of attendance in Dublin office (3 days a week minimum), the Irish hub for evo. This is the main site for VOW, Banner internal sales teams.

The usual work location is Dublin, the employee will be working very closely with the Business Development Manager for Ireland along with the sales teams and suppliers in Ireland and will therefore be required to visit suppliers and events where necessary.

Role Objective

The Marketing Executive (Ireland) will help to plan, co-ordinate and execute all targeted marketing activity aimed towards existing and prospective customers across EVO channels in Ireland (Banner Ireland & VOW Ireland). Working alongside the Group marketing teams, across our UK channels (Banner, VOW Wholesale & Staples.co.uk)



This is a broad marketing role requiring strong project management skills. The core objectives are to support the Irish sales channels and our supplier partners in maximizing sales opportunities with strong customer focused marketing materials and promotional campaigns. Developing and maintaining positive relationships with manufacturers and suppliers is pivotal to the role, as is the ability to pitch project plans confidently and effectively. Liaising with the Heads of Corporate Marketing across evo to establish and fulfil the requirements for all corporate marketing for the Ireland business.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Work collaboratively with the Corporate Marketing team for development of the Ireland business brand proposition including but not limited to; PR, events, website, social media and webinars (internal and external) etc.
  • Liaising and networking with a range of internal/external stakeholders, primarily with wider the merchandising/marketing teams in the UK to ensure all relevant activities are planned and executed to meet our business priorities in Ireland.
  • Ownership and activation of category and supplier marketing plans.
  • Work closely with suppliers to develop and activate individual social media campaigns on their behalf showing all interaction rates upon completion.
  • Ownership of quarterly marketing planning and content.
  • Work alongside the merchandising, marketing and business development manager to develop a greater understanding of the category marketplaces, including trends and opportunities.
  • Working with UK product marketing to develop and create a sales toolkit presentation to launch quarterly marketing plans to the Ireland sales team and resellers.
  • Working with suppliers to create end to end marketing campaigns, in collaboration with the Business Development Manager Ireland.
  • Liaising with Business Development Manager and the Head of Product Marketing to ensure that the Marketing budget is adhered to, and all associated administration tasks completed.
  • Analyse and produce reports on all marketing activity, in order to review the success of campaigns, both internally and for supplier use.
  • Utilise the reporting to make recommendations for future campaigns.
  • Driving the timelines and critical path for activity required in all campaigns.
  • Brief the design team (internal and external) with relevant copy, offer information and images to produce innovative and exciting product campaign materials.
  • Internal communication to all sales teams on marketing activities, incentives and communications.
  • Drive the timelines for each marketing activity – ensure they go-live and end on schedule.

Person Specification and Skillset required.

Essential

  • Experience of working in a similar role for 1 year
  • Good organisational and planning skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and a team player
  • Ability to be flexible as the role dictates.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of the Marketing mix
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office tools
  • Understand, analyse and be able to communicate to the wider business in regard to digital marketing metrics.
  • A track record of delivering projects on time and multi-tasking several projects at once/prioritising workload.
  • A track record of being able to work independently to deliver results and the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Outstanding execution, organisation and problem-solving skills
  • Readiness to operate in a highly collaborative, fast paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage own workload competently whilst working from home.


Desirable

  • BA or BS Degree in a Marketing discipline or equivalent marketing qualification
  • A track record in a marketing environment and good knowledge of Marketing techniques
  • Copywriting skills to write editorial copy and press releases.
  • A creative flair
  • Pro-active and tenacious
  • Numerate and analytical
  • Aware of current marketing trends
